Wekiwa River State Park - Oct 2011

For this trip, Marley and I stayed at Wekiwa Springs State Park in Apopka. The spring area here is beautiful but sadly no dogs are allowed in this area. You can still see the spring but you just have to keep your distance. This park has lots to offer, from hiking over 13 miles of different trails, canoeing down the Wekiva River, or just relaxing in natural settings. You won't be disappointed.

The campsites are nice here. Some are a little more private than others. The campground will be closed starting July 2012 for repairs so I'm not going to say too much about them since they might change. The southern campsites are closer to the road so you do hear road traffic with it being worse on the west side. For some reason I forgot to take a photo of the campsite .... oh well, next time.
